Build your confidence and fitness by joining WE RUN EALING and Ealing Eagles Running Club on a series of training runs around the Ealing Half Marathon course.
The runs are free to take part it, will have lead runners at different paces with experience of the course and will give you a flavour of what to expect on race day itself. Just turn up!
Dates and distances, as follows:
Wednesday 16th July, 7pm - meeting point at the top of Longfield Walk. (what3words ///counts.stays.bound).
Distance 4.8 miles / 7.7km.
Tackle the early half marathon hills of Eaton Rise and Park View Road before gliding down to Pitshanger Park and rising again to Cleveland Avenue.
Wednesday 30th July, 7pm - meeting point at the top of Cleveland Park (what3words ///catch.slime.ropes) and finish by The Drayton Court Hotel.
Distance 5.4 miles / 8.7km.
Cruise around the relatively flat sections of Drayton Green and Hanwell but also stretch those legs with a power up Greenford Avenue!
Wednesday 13th August, 7pm - meeting point Ealing Town Hall (what3words ///steps.tight.sleepy).
Distance 6.2 miles / 10km
It’s back to cracking the Ealing hills as we build up our stamina for the big day. Another chance to test yourself on Park View Road the uphill to Cleveland and a slightly longer run than the first two weeks.
Sunday 14th September, 9am - meeting point at the water fountain in Lammas Park (what3words ///chefs.decay.chin).
Distance 13.1 miles / 21.1km (BUT no obligation to run it all!).
With just a fortnight to go until event itself, a chance to run around the WHOLE course; test your race day kit and how much water, gels and nutrition you might need.
